PMI Macedonia & Students from FEIT

PMI Macedonia Chapter had the opportunity to meet and discuss with the students from the study group for project management at FEIT, led by our board member Vangel Fushtikj.

We would like to thank them for having us there, and for letting us discuss risk management, which was the topic of this event.

It was interesting to hear about the PMIEF foundation and the opportunities that the PMIEF foundation offers to students and PhD candidates. The presentation was led by our chapter member Natalija Petrova.

We were glad to hear about the security and sensitivity of the electrical energy systems in Macedonia, in a presentation made by Biljana Petreska.

We were interested to hear the risk management techniques used in the automotive industry.

What the students covered

We had the opportunity to learn which risk management tools can be used in human resources and in infrastructure projects. Besides the tools, the students were eager to present methods for:

• decision making models in risk management
• risk evaluation
• calculation of risks in electrical energy systems

It was interesting to see which market risks exist on interest rates, to find out what the systems are for identification and management of common business risks, and to learn the risks of implementing cloud versus on-premise IT solutions in public administration.

PMI Macedonia board members discussed with the students the importance of project management in any organization, and they were more than happy to share with them some useful tips and tricks from their professional experience.

We wish them great success in their current job positions and great success in their future projects.
