History
The Chapter Agreement with the Project Management Institute was signed on 2 July 2018, after the chartering phases were completed and the association was registered in Skopje. The first official event was held on 17 October 2018 at FEIT, with more than 60 guests and eight presenters; PMI Cafe, the informal member meet-up, started the same year. In 2019 the chapter worked with the project-management students at FEIT, organised the first Balkan Project Leadership Summit in Ohrid on 29 and 30 June - an honour it was given as the youngest PMI chapter in the Balkans, with the support of the chapters of the region - and joined the European Chapter Collaboration. The chapter numbers the editions of its annual conference in its own sequence: the fourth was in November 2022, the fifth and jubilee edition in November 2023, and the edition of 16 October 2026 is the eighth. Since 1 February 2026 chapter membership is part of PMI membership, with one sign-up at pmi.org.

Between conferences. The chapter kept working with students and with the chapters of the region, and when the pandemic came that work moved online.
